We went here for the first time on Saturday with mixed results. The hostess was up front when she said the kitchen was behind and food was taking about an hour to come out. But it was a beautiful day and we decided to sit outside and just enjoy the weather while we waited. I appreciated the advance notice. We order two beers and the boudin egg rolls. The appetizer came out in about 20 min and we had put our lunch order in when she brought his beer. The egg rolls were delicious and a nice twist on boudin. We both enjoyed the dipping sauce. Thankfully I had asked for water as well since my beer still hadn't arrived. The problems arose when lunch came out, in about the hour estimated. I ordered a wrap, which was delicious, but my fries were cold. My husband's smokehouse burger was completely cooked - but also cold. Our waitress did check in with us, and when we told her the burger was cold, she immediately offered to comp the burger or have it remade. Given that they were packed, and we don't like to waste food, we agreed to let her comp the burger. While they seemed well staffed with servers and were clearly working hard, the kitchen either needs more staff or some time management training. I did eventually get my beer right as lunch came out, so that was fine, and our server was a very nice young woman who was really working hard to serve all her tables. Since we really only had issues with the one food item, we're willing to go back and hope they address their kitchen issues. Despite the cold burger, the view can't be beat and the rest of the food was delicious.
New management, employees are happier and the service is much better. Also railing has been added to keep people from falling into the water. The ranch water is... terrible! Food is good, play area for the kids. Perfect spot to pull up on the boat and eat!
Came here in a Thursday night in December to celebrate a birthday! It was quiet that night but I'm sure the weekends, there's always a crowd. Very large portions for such a good price. I couldn't decide on what to eat so I ordered the Lake House Sampler. Loved the fried mozzarella but could've done without the fried pickle spears. Other items tried include the brisket potato, wings, smokehouse burger, and shrimp tacos. No complaints! It was a chilly night but when it gets warmer, I'll be back to sit outside and enjoy the views of the lake !
Very nice location and great view and atmosphere. Staff seems very nice and attentive, we were very happy with Kristina, she is so helpful and very nice bartender. The only complaint for me was the portions, small for the price.
